En termes de profit, General Electric (seulement 27è en 2014) prend largement la tête… (même s'il est vrai que le secteur armement est minime dans son bilan) et DCNS (20è) plonge littéralement, avec des pertes de 446 M US$

Après la cérémonie de livraison à la marine Bangladesh le 11 Décembre, les 2 corvettes C13B fabriquées par le chantier naval chinois Wuchang, F111 BNS Shadhinota et F112 BNS Prottoy, ont quitté la Chine hier.

On remarque facilement la similitude au niveau de la conception de ces 2 navires par rapport aux corvettes de Type 056 utilisées par la marine chinoise, avec, bien sûr, des adaptations mais aussi des choses down-gradées.

Pakistan pushes for JF-17 sale to Sri Lanka

Following the first export deal for its JF-17 multirole fighter to Myanmar, Pakistan is expected to be pushing hard for a follow-up agreement with Sri Lanka that would mark an important step in further extending its defence co-operation footprint in the Indian Ocean region.

With Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif scheduled to visit Sri Lanka in the first week of January 2016, efforts to secure an agreement in principle for the sale of the JF-17 Thunder - a third-generation fighter co-produced by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and China's Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation (CAC) - are likely to be high on his agenda, diplomatic sources have told IHS Jane's .

Sharif's upcoming talks in Colombo follow a mid-November visit to Pakistan by Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) commander Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinhala during which the JF-17 was showcased by the Pakistanis. Immediately after the visit AM Bulathsinhala was invited to send an evaluation team of technicians and pilots to PAC's Kamra facilities near Islamabad, where the JF-17 is produced.

The SLAF - which already flies several other Chinese-made aircraft types - is currently looking to upgrade its fighter capabilities. At present these rely on the Israel Aircraft Industries Kfir, which served as the workhorse of SLAF ground attack operations in the 1983-2009 civil war against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

Currently the JF-17 is flown only by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), with the first squadron of Block 1 aircraft becoming operational in 2010. In late December 2015, PAC rolled out the 16th of a planned total of 50 Block 2 aircraft to complete the PAF's fourth JF-17 squadron in service.

Phasing out its older Dassault Mirage III/5s and Chinese F-7Ps fighters, the PAF reportedly plans to induct at least 250 JF-17s. By contrast, China's People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) does not fly the JF-17.

Après la livraison des 2 corvettes C13B à la marine de Bangladesh, qui sont dérivées de la conception de corvette chinoise Type 056, le chantier naval Wuchang annonce d'avoir signé un nouveau contrat avec le Bangladesh pour fournir 2 autres corvettes.

Le communiqué n'a pas précisé qu'il s'agit du même temps de bâtiment mais donne quelques détails :

* la conception et la fabrication suivent les normes CCS
* le déplacement est d'environ 1 300 t
* la vitesse maximum est de 25 nœuds
* l'autonomie est de 2 000 nm
* la coque utilise des formes furtives, le navire dispose une certaine capacité anti-aérienne et attaque Mer-Sol

Même si on n'a pas encore la confirmation du client final, le communiqué parle d'une classe de pétrolier ravitailleur russe de 9000 t. Il devrait s'agir de la nouvelle classe de pétrolier ravitailleur russe Project 23130 Academician Pashin.

Le contrat porte sur 5 systèmes de ravitaillement, il a été signé le 18 Mars 2015.

Pakistan To Sell JF-17 Aircraft To Sri Lanka Despite Indian Pressure

COLOMBO/ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Sri Lanka have signed an agreement under which the former would sell eight JF-17 Thunder aircraft to the latter in the initial stage despite Indian pressure.

The agreement is part of several memorandum of understanding (MoUs)inked between Pakistan and Sri Lanka during Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s three-day visit to the island earlier today.

According to the accord, Pakistan will sell eight JF-17 war planes to Sri Lanka in the first phase.

India had warned Sri Lanka against dealing with Pakistan, urging it to procure its fighter jets instead, according to highly placed diplomatic sources.

Without naming anyone, they said two Indian high-ups had threatened a Sri Lankan official over the telephone to not sign the aircraft deal with Pakistan. Failing to do so, they warned, India would cancel the $400 million loan for Colombo port city project.

However, the Sri Lanka government reportedly refused the offer saying Indian air force itself was not using the aircraft they were offering them to purchase.

Diplomatic sources further told Geo News that Sri Lanka would procure a naval fleet from India instead.

Nigeria's plans to acquire three CAC/PAC JF-17 Thunder multirole fighters in 2016, Nigeria's Punch newspaper reported on 6 January.

Citing a leaked copy of the budget, Punch reported that NGN5 billion (USD25 million) has been allocated for the acquisition of the three JF-17s, NGN2.06 billion for 10 PAC Super Mushshak basic trainers, and NGN11.6 for two Mi-35M helicopters.

Jointly developed by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC), the JF-17 is currently only in service with Pakistan. IHS Jane's reported in December 2014 that Nigeria was finalising a JF-17 order, but a deal was not subsequently confirmed.

A vrai dire j'aime beaucoup le programme FC-1, non pas pour ses caractéristiques techniques, mais sur la manière que le programme a été monté et piloté - Très pragmatique et lucide, pas de bling bling, la progression et l'évolution sont maîtrisées à la fois par le fournisseur et le client, une vraie relation de confiance et de partenariat. Dommage qu'on ne regarde pas souvent ce programme sous cet angle là.

Et j'attend avec impatience l'évolution Block III qui devrait permettre à cet avion de devenir "quelque chose".

China Reveals New Missiles At Singapore Airshow

SINGAPORE — At the Singapore Airshow this week, the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corp. (CATIC) provided brochures of two new missiles, the TL-2 and the TL-7.

TL stands for “Thunder Lighting” (Tien Lei), though the configurations and missions are unrelated. CATIC is a Chinese state-owned company that manages export sales of aviation defense and commercial products. It is similar to Russia’s Rosoboronexport in function. Both the TL-2 and TL-7 are actually products of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).

CATIC officials indicate the TL-7 is an anti-ship missile that can be launched from fighter aircraft (TL-7A), ground-based units (TL-7B), and ships (TL-7C). The turbojet engine allows it to hit cruising speeds of 0.8-0.85 Mach with a range of 180 km (110 miles).

According to Richard Fisher, a senior fellow on Asian military affairs with the International Assessment and Strategy Center, the TL-7 is making its debut as the export model of the KD-88 precision-guided air to surface missile that entered PLA Air Force service on the Xian-built JH-7A fighter bombers in 2006 and 2007.

“The KD-88 was the first medium-range optically-guided ground attack missile to arm the JH-7,” Fisher said. “Originally thought to have been derived from the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) C-802/YJ-82 family of anti-ship missiles, it can now be said that [the CASC] KD-88/TL-7 was designed to compete with CASIC's anti-ship and ground attack missiles.”

According to CATIC officials, the TL-2 missile can be launched from a ground-based launcher or an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Photographs provided by CATIC show two TL-2s mounted on an ASN-209 medium altitude and medium endurance (MAME) UAV. The ASN-209 has a range of 200 km (120 miles) and the TL-2 has a range of six km (3.7 miles). CATIC photographs show it destroying a light armored vehicle. It has a circular error probable range of 2-10 meters depending on the guidance system used. Modes of operation include direct attack for lock-on before launch (LOBL), mid-course navigation, and semi-active guidance for lock-on after launch (LOAL).

Fisher said the TL-2 was first marketed at the 2014 Zhuhai Airshow as a precision strike weapon for the Chengdu-built Wing Loong/Pterodactyl unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), now in service with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. CATIC is displaying a model of the Wing Loong at the Singapore Airshow this week.

CASC’s TL-2 is in competition with CASIC's and China North Industries Corporation’s [Norinco’s] line up of precision UCAV weapons, Fisher said.

Indonesia ratifies defence trade agreements with Germany, China

Indonesia has ratified defence co-operation agreements with Germany and China as part of its continuing to bid promote technology transfers and the development of its defence industrial base.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Jakarta said on 1 March that the two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) have recently been authorised by the House of Representatives. Defence Minister Raymizard Ryacudu said the approvals will "provide the legal basis for further defence co-operation activities" with the two countries.

The MoD did not provide details of the defence activities that Indonesia will undertake with Germany and China. However, previous statements by the MoD indicate arrangements with both countries will feature collaboration on defence equipment and technologies, as well as a range of military activities related to logistics, disaster relief, training, exchanges, and peacekeeping.

По всей видимости, в Тараз самолетом Ан-124-100 были доставлены два приобретенных Казахстаном китайских беспилотных летательных аппарата средней высоты и большой дальности полета (MALE) Pterodactyl I (китайское название Yilong-1, Wing Loong), производимых китайским авиастроительным объединением Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group (входит в состав авиационно-промышленной корпорации AVIC) в Чэнду.

Cемейство БЛА Pterodactyl I (Yilong-1, Wing Loong) представляет собой аппараты класса MALE, по своим характеристикам и предназначению сравнимые с американским General Atomics MQ-1 Predator. Аппарат Pterodactyl I взлетной массой 1100 кг оснащен поршневым двигателем мощностью 100 л.с. и способен нести полезную нагрузку массой до 200 кг. Для аппарата разработаны несколько видов управляемого вооружения.

В 2013 году руководство китайского внештеторгового объединения CATIC заявляло, что аппараты Pterodactyl I "уже экспортированы в четыре страны, включая одно государство Центральной Азии". В 2014 году контракт на закупку данных БЛА заключила также Саудовская Аравия. Среди известных заказчиков фигурируют также ОАЭ и Египет.

В конце 2012 года сообщалось о проводившихся в ходе визита в КНР делегации министерства обороны Казахстана переговорах относительно приобретения казахстанской стороной БЛА китайского производства, включая Pterodactyl I.

В Таразе дислоцируется 612-я авиационная база Сил воздушной обороны Казахстана, на вооружении которой состоят вертолеты Ми-8.

En 2013, CATIC (China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation), une société de vitrine pour l'exportation du groupe AVIC, a annoncé avoir signé les contrats d'export de Wing Loong avec 4 pays étrangers, dont l'un est en Asie Centrale. On apprend plus tard que l'Arabie Saoudite, les Emirats et l’Égypte sont les 3 autres clients. 

L'achat de Wing Loong par le Kazakhstan serait initié en 2012, lors de la visite d'une délégation du MoD Kazakh en Chine. L'article en haut mentionne la 612ème base aérienne qui se situe à Taraz.

DOHA: Qatar yesterday signed 10 memoranda of understanding (MoU) worth QR3.5bn with international companies for arming and developing Qatari Armed Forces. The MoUs were signed on the sidelines of the second day of Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference (Dimdex 2016).

Yesterday’s biggest deal was to buy ‘coastal batteries’ defence system between Qatar Emri Naval Forces and European MBDA company with value of QR2.64bn. Another MoU for a project to manufacture and produce ‘Q01 - 100’ aircrafts was also signed between the steering committee of drone project and German company Reiner Stemme Utility Air-Systems GmbH with value of QR365.4m.

An agreement was signed with Polish WKK for manufacturing and producing parts of drones for reconnaissance and surveillance center of the Qatar Armed Forces (QAF) as QAF bought 51 percent of WKK company which specialises in the manufacture of composite materials and fuselage production. Under the agreement, WKK will provide support in the field of aircraft manufacturing and technology transfer to Qatar.

Among the memos signed was one for the purchase of ‘Exocet’ missile range between Qatar Emiri Naval Forces and the European MBDA company amounting to QR240m. A QR60.896m MoU for a project to buy ‘Searchmaster’ radar between the steering committee of drone project and French Thales company was also signed. A QR95m agreement for the ‘Umrah’ project was signed between the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces and German company MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH for maintenance and overhaul of the MTU propulsion system. Another MoU for contracts to provide training for the pilots of helicopters and fighter jets was signed between Qatari Emiri Air Force and ‘DCI’ company with value of €32m. A memorandum of understanding for 3-year C-130 maintenance contract was signed between Qatari Emiri Air Force and the American Lockheed Martin company amounting to QR50m.

An agreement was signed to provide support in the field of manufacturing and military cooperation between the steering committee of drone project and Chinese National Precision Machinery Import and Export Corporation (CASIC). Another MoU with the same Chinese company was signed to provide the support in the field of manufacturing and military cooperation and technology transfer to Qatar. The Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC), part of Dimdex 2016, concluded yesterday under the auspices of Chief of General Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, H E Major General (Pilot) Ghanem Bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.

In his opening remarks at MENC, Chief of the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces, Staff Major General (Sea) Mohammed Bin Nasser Al-Mohannadi said, “The security and economies of all states along the coast of the Arabian Gulf rely on the protection of our territorial waters and the ability to defend these waters from evolving threats is fundamental. Regional and international coordination and cooperation is required to guarantee the energy security, environmental security and freedom of navigation of our waters from both the conventional and unconventional challenges we face in this geo-strategic region”.

Held under the theme: “The Maritime Domain – The Centre of Gravity for the Regional Security Complex of the Arabian Gulf”, MENC welcomed senior naval commanders and academics to Doha to discuss the most relevant issues currently facing maritime security in the region.

“The fifth edition of the MENC conference provides a high profile industry forum for GCC and international naval commanders to share their insights on the strategic challenges facing the security of regional waters. With a high calibre of speakers and topical agenda, MENC acts as Qatar’s prestigious platform for thought leadership in international maritime defence policy and practice,” said Brig Dr (Eng) Thani A Al Kuwari, Chairman of Dimdex.

В Туркменистане проходят масштабные военные учения и по-моему на них засветился китайский ЗРК FD2000 (экспортный вариант HQ-9), слухи о возможных поставках которого появились в начале прошлого года. К сожалению пусковую установку не показывают полностью, но можно заметить что очертания собственно ТПК и пусковой несколько отличаются от таковых у С-300, обратите внимание что ТПК похоже имеют не круглую форму, а с гранями (причем такие ТПК появились на последней версии FD-2000 насколько помню, до этого они тоже круглые были), также отличается количество и расположение кольцевых утолщений на ТПК . К тому же у Туркменистана не было ранее комплексов С-300.
