Hello everybody!
I came from Poland and I’m interested in French Navy during World War 2.
At the moment the most interesting ships for me are avisos - dragueurs de mines Elan and Chamois types. I have some informations about them, but not enough. If I may ask you for some things, like photos, drawings, data, I will be very grateful. Unfortunately in my country there’s no info about these vessels, not even a single article. Is there any book in French or English about Elans?
What I need exactly is: side’s numbers (I know that Cmd Riviere was A32), their armament (I know that they would have 2x100, but no single vessel was armed like this.Le Chevreuil and La Capricieuse had 1x100 mle 1932, most of the rest had old 100 mle 1892 through 1925, I heard that one or two had 2x90 mm but I’m not sure).
I think I know every photo of these ships in the Internet, and I think I know most of WWW sites that mention about Elans.
I will be very gratefull for every help in this matter J

I have alredy seen this topic, and there is one picture I haven't seen. It's the first one - Elan - very nice indeed :). So Elan is A36, and Cmd Riviere A32. Is it possible? I mean Elan was first in service, so she should have lover signature then Cmd Riviere... I hope You will be able to find more information about these interesting and beautiful ships and uncloud my doubts.
