In 1910 the French Fleet actually had designs drawn up for another class of semi-dreadnoughts instead of the all big-gun Courbets. Does anyone have the particulars on these designs, and could someone give me a reasonable Springsharp simulation of what they could've looked like?

In august 1905, The French minister of the Marine, Gaston Thomson examined 3 projects for the building of 3 x 18.000T battleships.
1st – 6x305 + 12x194
2nd – 4x305 + 12x240
3rd– 10x305

After hard discussion for the choice of the armament, The intermediate armament was retained…(Danton class)
They think that the intermediate 240mm had more rapidly fire than 305mm and the shell weight is enough.. They preferred to have a broadside of 10 shells to 12000m battle range than 8 for Dreadnought or Nassau.
