I have just uploaded a new chapter on the website "Naval Technology and Life on board" at www.navtechlife.com
It is entitled "Landing on and taking off" and shows photographs of the delicate art of landing several tons of high speed aircraft onto a flat surface of only several hundred metres long and tens of meters in width. And all the time, this surface can wiggle about in a most erratic way.
Navy pilots must be particularly special people, I wonder if they can walk straight*?
Have a look !
