| Hello,
We have just uploaded a new chapter entitled "Emergence of the Imperial Japanese Navy". Part 1 covers the period from the late 19th century when Japan initiated the first of several naval programmes. At the time, Japan had neither the experience nor the means to build its own warships and it purchased its vessels from foreign shipyards.
